Key Talks between Asia Cooperation Dialogue and Touring & Automobile Club of Iran Focus on Women’s Tourism Rally

TEHRAN – Key talks between the cultural coordination center of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) and the Touring & Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) have recently highlighted the potential for cooperation, dialogue, and cultural exchange between the two organizations. In a meeting between Mohammad Jafari-Malek, ACD envoy, and TACI CEO Mohammad-Hossein Soufi, they discussed the idea of organizing a women’s tourism rally as an international collaboration.

The significance of women in Asian culture was emphasized by Jafari-Malek as one of the important aspects of the ACD’s activities. He acknowledged the successful execution of international exhibitions and rallies by the Touring & Automobile Club of Iran and stated that this has caught the attention of the ACD. As a result, the ACD is now considering implementing the cultural and tourism project “Asian women’s rally” with a specific focus on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Another crucial topic of discussion during the meeting was the “Cultural revival of the Silk Road.” Both parties exchanged views on the design and execution of international rallies along the Silk Road route involving member countries of the ACD, aiming to revive the historical significance of this ancient trade route.

TACI CEO Mohammad-Hossein Soufi expressed the club’s readiness to implement joint programs with the ACD, particularly emphasizing the importance of women’s participation and organizing tourism rallies to enhance social enthusiasm. Soufi expressed hope that the collaboration between these two international organizations will pave the way for showcasing Iran as a safe and beautiful destination to the world.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue is a prominent intergovernmental institution consisting of 35 countries and is currently the most comprehensive Asian organization. Since September 2023, the presidency of the ACD has been held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Furthermore, Iran’s Yazd has been designated as the cultural and tourism capital by the ACD for this year, with ambassadors from member countries visiting the city in March to explore its cultural heritage.

Through this partnership, the potential for a women’s tourism rally and the revival of the Silk Road, the ACD and TACI aim to foster cultural exchange, promote international cooperation, and invite the world to discover the diverse cultural treasures of Iran.
